I agree with 李祥's answer。 As a student studying abroad, I believe that languages will not be learned by grammar alone。 They are best learned by constantly using them。 I think you should do more reading。 When you are capable of translating a complex sentence into Chinese, you won't be worrying about whether a word is the subject, object or verb in a sentence。 Believe in me on this, and good luck。

如果你的指標只是日常生活的口語英語，那完全沒問題，很多外國人講一句英文也是錯漏百出。。但像dawee所說，“寫作、翻譯和閱讀就不行了”。。正式的英語一定講究語法，外國人學英文同樣也學語法，詞性，拼寫，構造等。。就好像叫你用中文寫一封信給家人，朋友，那肯定沒問題，可如果是寫給上級，做報告呢？？

我現在是外國語學校的學生，我自從學英語以來，就沒分清過主、謂、賓，但英語還是學得好好的。放心吧。 世上無難事，只怕有心人！

英語是可以學的，但是，她的英語學的不可能非常好，因為語法和單詞都是英語的基礎，所以必須把語法弄懂

　I am a foreigner here in China. I dont think there is any so-called "English grammar or phonetics" Readings and oral practices will let you getting use to a language usage.
