appreciate是動詞。感激，感謝。較正式，一般在商業信函中使用appreciate很多，而thank you 則較少。例如：一種用法：It would be appreciated if you would send us two sample books by air immediately.(表客氣)另一種用法：we shall appreciate it if you will send us two sample books by air immediately.再一種用法：we shall appreciate you sending us two sample books by air immediately.
