just three years ago, 或exactly three years ago, 后面還可接上具體的日期，如exactly three years ago, on September 12th, 2002, sth happened。。。。也許這才是英語里與漢語這名話最貼切的相應說法。如：1979年7月15日，美國總統卡特在美國經濟深陷困境時向全國發表電視講話，談到其競選總統的感想時說：Exactly three years ago, on July 15, 1976, I accepted the nomination of my party to run for president of the United States。 就可以翻譯成：三年前的今天，我接受本黨提名出選美國總統。此外，英語中也有“幾年后的同一天”的說法，如：** years later, on the same day，但前提是說這句話前要有所鋪墊，才可轉到這句話。不管這句話是否是在這一天說的，都可以這樣說。因此，如要用這個說法表達“幾年前的這一天”，也應該有所鋪墊。如“Today we gather together here to commemorate the 4th anniversary of 911。 Four years ago on this same day。。?！?。
