最基本的一點：almost首字母A總是在not或never的首字母N的前面，所以我們只能說：almost not，從來不說not almost。而卻可以說not...nearly。

almost 和nearly 的通常可以互換：He was almost/nearly run over by a car. 他差一點就被車子輾過。但almost可與nobody,nothing,nowhere,nerve連用，而nearly則不可，又，有時almost 比nearly “接近的”程度更強。
